Being associated with LensCrafters® we are able to utilize the most modern and up to date equipment. Each exam utilizes an autorefractor, which helps us give the most accurate prescription possible, an automated visual field to screen for glaucoma and neurological disease, as well as a state of the art digital retinal camera to photodocument subtle changes inside of an eye. We also offer a dilated eye exam to every patient, which is the most important way to detect a multitude of problems including cataracts, glaucoma and retinal disease. Finally, our office is one of the very few (if not the only) LensCrafters around to also have a computerized corneal topographer and pachymeter. These devices are extremely useful in measuring the corneal surface and are also used before and after refractive and cataract surgeries. The use of this technology, along with a thorough yearly eye exam is important, as it may help aid in the early detection of disease. Our association with LensCrafters® also permits most patients to receive their glasses in about an hour, with many fashionable styles and prices to choose from. Our doctors also routinely fit all brands of contact lenses, including "hard to fit" lenses, such as those for astigmatism or bifocals.
